Small Post-Supportraiser Updates and General Late Rambling

There's a little catching up to do.

First up, we had a very successful weekend of raising support (yeah, we're tardy.  Just now posting at least a little something about the movie night and activities)

We don't know a ton about plane ticket prices just yet – but I've asked a friend currently living in Korea – and we have enough now to cover one ticket and then some.  Prices of course will always fluctuate and from what I've heard, I hope we can avoid purchasing within the holiday seasons.  We're at the mercy of "the system" though so time will tell.

Kenna also set up a booth to sell some a few scarves and things at the Trigg County Complex last Thursday during FNB's Holiday craft show.  We met someone who shared they were also in the process of adopting (from Haiti).  How often do you have something in common like that with your booth neighbor, eh?

Another friend donated some handcratfted boot tops to sell – which they went quickly.  I don't really know technically what they're called other than "cute boot accessories." But here's a thank you to Kenna's friend who donated a couple pairs of those to our cause.

We received word today that another Jonah-update-package – a DVD and some medical information – will be arriving via FedEx early Thursday morning so we're eager to see some updated photos and, on a more serious side of things, review updated medical records.

Jonah does have a heart abnormality but it's the kind of thing that's somewhat normal… and kids often just grow right out of it.  Kudos South Korea's healthcare AND adoption systems.  From the sounds of it, these kids (and my son) are really given great care and attention while their destined-to-be parents wait on their arrivals.

That's it for now. Wrapping it. It's late and the family is heading to bed – Bennett has Classical Conversations in the morning and is expected to present to his class a little something on George Washington.  He has a presentation each week and so far, he's always delivered.

'til next time.
